The primary goal at Design IV is helping our customers achieve immediate results from DFMA while establishing an internal DFMA capability for the long term.
The objectives of our services are to:
- Train teams in the principles and benefits of DFMA concurrent engineering strategies.
- Help users realise immediate design improvements on their own company products.
- Encourage design creativity, teamwork and innovation.
- Establish a long term capability to develop lean products.
- Integrate DFMA into the overall product development process.
To assist in achieving these objectives we offer the following services:
DFMA Core Training
- What: Hands-on training in the use of DFMA software focusing on DFA, DFM and their integration.
- Who: New and potential heavy software users
- Where: Onsite for groups up to a maximum of eight
- Duration: Typically two days to cover both DFA and DFM; one day is suitable for either DFA or DFM

DFMA Overseas Cost Analysis
- What: Understand the cost of overseas part and product manufacture using DFMA
- Who: New and potential heavy software users
- Where: Onsite for groups up to a maximum of eight
- Duration: Typically two days to cover both DFA and DFM; one day is suitable for either DFA or DFM

DFMA Guided Analysis
- What: Expert-led team-oriented DFMA analysis and redesign of your product designs
- Who: New and/or experienced software users interested in a DFMA analysis of their product
- Where: Onsite for groups up to a maximum of eight
- Duration: Typically two days to cover both DFA and DFM, one day is suitable for either DFA or DFM

DFMA Implementation Workshop
- What: Hands-on workshops designed to help teams quickly and effectively use and implement DFMA.
- Who: Product development teams and suppliers both new and experienced in DFMA
- Where: Onsite for groups up to a maximum of fifteen
- Duration: Typically two to three days depending on the complexity of products to be analysed by workshop attendees
